Who runs this

I'm an independent developer based in New York City who built and maintains Streaming Price Tracker on my own. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the streaming services listed.

Why it exists

Streaming prices change constantly and the announcements are scattered across press releases, app store listings, and news coverage. I built this to put the full history in one place, with sources, so you can see exactly what changed and when.

How prices are sourced

Every price in the history comes from a primary source: an official service announcement, a press release, or contemporaneous news reporting. Each entry in the underlying data carries at least two source citations, and prices are never added without them. You can see those citations on the full price history and on each service's page.

How the data is verified and updated

When a service announces or rolls out a price change, the new price is added with its source, and any announced-but-not-yet-effective change is listed on the upcoming price changes page until it takes effect. The "last updated" date shown across the site reflects the real date of the most recent data edit. It's only bumped when something actually changes, so it's an honest signal of freshness rather than a rolling timestamp.

What's covered

The site tracks the major US streaming services, both on-demand and live TV, and reports standard monthly prices in US dollars. It includes the headline plan tiers (ad-supported, ad-free / standard, and premium where applicable) and the full history of how each has changed over time. Where a service sells add-on fees or genre packs, those are shown for context but never presented as standalone subscriptions.

It does not include annual plan discounts, promotional or bundle pricing, regional pricing outside the US, or taxes. Some live TV services also add a mandatory regional sports fee at checkout that varies by location; that fee is not part of the tracked price, and the affected service pages call it out. Prices can change or be reported inaccurately, so always confirm the current price on the official service website before subscribing.

Use the data

The full dataset is free to download as JSON or CSV (one row per price change), under the CC BY 4.0 license: use it however you like, with attribution to Streaming Price Tracker. The downloads carry the prices themselves; the source citations for every entry live on the full price history and per-service pages. Price changes are also published as an RSS feed.
